The Woodchuck's Wood
June 9-13, 2008 — 9:00am - Noon

This camp is all about WOOD! Campers will make a number of projects from scrap wood such as letter holders, bird houses and much more. Learn how to use carpenter’s tools while building a bench or a stool. Learn the art of wood burning and make unique picture frames. You will paint some of your projects or leave them in their natural state. This is a wonderful introduction to wood carving, wood sculptures and more. Be prepared to get dusty and get your hands dirty. We’re going to saw, nail, sand, glue, paint and stain.

All About Harry!

Spend the week exploring the world of Harry Potter and the Witches’ Cauldron making potions, lotions and brews! This is a fun introduction to “Muggles” - the non-magic human world of Science and Hocus Pocus. Who knows what potions you will be concocting? But, we can guarantee you that you will feel as though you are a graduate of the “Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” when the week comes to a close.

Pom and Cheer

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Learn basic pom and cheer moves. This class is conducted by one of our dance instructors with the assistance of a young lady who is presently a member of a High School Pom and Cheer team. This is also a good opportunity for boys to learn how they can be active in this sport when they enter college. Bring your own poms, or use ours. Casual attire that allows you to move freely required. Please bring your own water bottle. This is a week of high energy with a special surprise. A special cheer session will be held on Friday to show off your expertise to parents as guests.

Broadway Review
July 7-11, 2008 — 9:00am - Noon

An introduction to the world of musical theater. Campers will hone their voice production and projection skills, learn basic steps and stage presence with new and traditional theater music. Mini-productions will be created throughout the week with select show tunes well known by every age. The camp will be conducted by one of the choreographers for the Patt Holt Singers and we will close out the week with a special show for parents and guests on Friday.

South of the Border

Campers will make Mexican dishes and drinks, clay pots and sculptures, piñatas, instruments, flip-flops, flowers and more. Then we will celebrate on Friday with a FIESTA! Parents and guests are invited to join the Friday festivities. Campers will prepare the delectable food. This is going to prove to be the most rousing time you will have all summer.

Kid's City
July 21-25, 2008
Morning Session - 9:00am - Noon
Evening Session: 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Registration Deadline - July 7, 2008
Cost $50 per child - Minimum of 6 children
$35.00 for MOB Squad Members

Campers will create a mock city, select city officials, and individually develop and promote a store that will provide two products a day for sale. Each store owner will be paid for time worked. With daily earnings, campers may purchase products from their store and save their earnings and make purchases from all the stores at the end of the week. Parents and guests will also be invited to visit Kid’s City on Friday and make purchases while the campers promote their products through flyers, business cards, etc. This camp is being offered twice a day; in the morning and in the evening for those Francis Howell students who have returned to school.

Welcome to “Leftovers, etc.” – the world that can easily hold a HUGE Garage Sale. But, rather than sell our items, we are going to CREATE with them. We’ll be using Nuts, Bolts, Paint and Plaster – just for starters. If you can find it in your garage, you can find something creative to do with it in this summer camp. This camp is being offered twice a day; in the morning and in the evening for those Francis Howell students who have returned to school.
