Snap Shot
June 7-11, 2010 — 9:00am - Noon
Reservation Deadline - May 31, 2010
Cost $55 per child - Minimum of 6 children
$40.00 for MOB Squad Members
Campers will bring their own digital cameras and learn how to take pictures from a professional photographer. Campers will edit, crop and print the pictures they take and then make a mini scrapbook of their photos.

Viva La France

Take a tour of France. Learn about their culture, their artistry, their wine-tasting (only on Friday when parents visit). Make French pastry. Be French chefs. Will do several different things — make pastry, parfaits.

Break the Code - Solve the Mystery
June 14-18, 2010 — 9:00am - Noon
Reservation Deadline - June 7, 2010

Campers will learn how wallpaper is designed and discover their patterns. They will play logic games, break the UPC codes found on grocery item containers, explore the U.S. highway system, compose their own mystery story and learn how law enforcement officers are able to decode the mystery of WHODUNIT! Campers will make tangrams out of material found in Leftovers and will end the week making their own kaleidoscope and solving the mystery of the changing designs.

Give My Regards to Broadway
June 14-18, 2010 — 9:00am - Noon
Reservation Deadline - June 7, 2010
Cost $55 per child - Minimum of 6 children

An introduction to the world of musical theater. Campers will hone their voice production and projection skills, learn basic steps and stage presence with new and traditional theater music as well as develop and perform a short skit. Mini-productions will be created throughout the week with select show tunes well known by every age. The camp will be conducted by our very own Music Director, accompanied by our Dance Director, and Theater Director of our Studio C Performing Arts Center. We will close out the week with a special show on Friday for parents and guests.

I Spy

Campers will learn about Sherlock Holmes, other famous detectives. They will learn the responsibilities of detectives; who hires them and why. They will go on an individual mission to find something of value that someone has misplaced or lost. They will make up their own detective game and design their own clues. Learn the art of fingerprinting and design your own I-Spy wardrobe. This is a great opportunity to learn the qualifications needed to be a "SUPER SLEUTH".

Pioneer Camp
June 21-25, 2010 — 9:00am - Noon
Reservation Deadline - June 14, 2010
Cost $55 per child - Minimum of 6 children
$40.00 for MOB Squad Members
Campers will spend the week living like pioneer children. They will read by oil lamps, write poetry on slate, make a leather belt, necklace, boot jack and pioneer toys. They will braid their own rug and make their own candles. On Friday, campers will prepare a pioneer feast to share with their parents and display their wares.

Kid’s City
June 28 - July 2, 2010 — 9:00am - Noon
Reservation Deadline - June 21, 2010
Cost $55 per child - Minimum of 6 children
$40.00 for MOB Squad Members
Campers will create a mock city, select city officials, and individually develop and promote a store that will provide two products a day for sale. Each store owner will be paid for time worked. With daily earnings, campers may purchase products from their store and save their earnings and make purchases from all the stores at the end of the week. Parents and guests will also be invited to visit Kid’s City on Friday and make purchases while the campers promote their products through flyers, business cards, etc.

African Safari
June 28 - July 2, 2010 — 9:00am - Noon
Reservation Deadline - June 21, 2010
Cost $55 per child - Minimum of 6 children
$40.00 for MOB Squad Members
Campers will learn songs and dances from the Kenya and Ghana regions of Africa. They will learn some common words from the Swahili culture and about African instruments and drumming techniques as they make their own drums. They will read and dramatize African folk tales as well as learn about the animals found in various regions. During the week, campers will make African jewelry, African masks and African fashions. On Friday we will have an African welcoming ceremony with our parents.

Don’t Throw It Away

THIS CAMP WILL START ON TUESDAY FOLLOWING THE JULY 4th HOLIDAY.
Campers will make wearable clothing as a prelude to the upcoming Trashy Fashion Show in October 2010. They will make jewelry, backpacks, pictures from soda cans, wire sculptures, junky-to funky-art. You will be only limited by your own imagination.

Campers will learn about diving bells, submarines, marine life and ocean creatures such as eels, dolphins, whales, sharks and octopi. We will learn about the hazards encountered by ships lost at sea; their discovery and their history. If we were marooned on a desert island, how could we use the ocean to sustain us.
